Jimmy Carter Presidential Library

Made our way to the Presidential Library in Atlanta, our sixth library to visit. While not as impressive as some others we have seen,  it included a good amount of information on Jimmy's life before, during, and after his presidency, including his very successful naval career, as well as Roselyn's involvement, which was greater than I realized. A nice mock up of the Oval Office, and many audio visuals with President Carter himself were presented.  While probably most regarded as somewhat less successful , some of his major accomplishments were described with his experiences and difficulties, and lasting emotions. The months long Iran Hostage ordeal, which kept him 24-7 in the Oval Office at the end of his term, and the peace accord between Israel and Turkey, where weeks were spent at Camp David with the two leaders,  in which he experienced "some of the worst days of my life", and yet the best outcome, were obviously significant contributions.  I don't think there has ever been a President who did more in his post presidential years.
