Fun weekend with Golf and a Pig Roast!

Friday morning we set out for a woodsy and hilly golf course in New Hampshire with David and Cindy. Very humid and hot in the sun, so glad to have the shade of many trees, where it was quite pleasant. Not great golf, but a nice time and pretty course. Afterward a nice lunch at Black Forest Cafe and Bakery....I always say I play for lunch!

Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos!!  Slipping!

On Saturday, we were pleased to be invited to Chris's friend Jeremy's annual pig roast. A first for me, and I was curious to see it done, and yet a bit freaked out by the sight once I did!  Jer's mother was later seen walking around and chewing on what appeared to be an ear!  His parents had hosted a roast for many years, and Jeremy and his wife picked up the tradition. I can check that one off!  The forecasted rain never materialized, and though it was humid, the young ones especially enjoyed the bounce house and pool and live band. Quite an event!

Firing up the pit, which Jeremy built himself, just for these events.

a heavy load!
We met Chris's friend Will, who dwarfs him. Big guy!

Jeremy and his helpers do the carving.

It was fun to visit Jeremy's garage, where he always has some work in progress on his ever changing collection of sports cars.  I love the little blue one! Turns out he is selling it, but Clem wouldn't but it for me!

A warm day, often steamy, and it was nice to have the shade of the tent to eat.  We sat across from the parents of one of Jeremy and Chris's friends, and found him especially very entertaining, chuckling at his own remarks!
